Matt Oakes
Matt is a Graduate of Taloga High School and received a BS in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University in 2004. Matt has worked around the auction and real estate business since 2012 executing many different transaction types. Matt played baseball at Oklahoma State University and continued playing for four years in the minor leagues topping out in AA with the Detroit Tigers and a short stint with the Yankees. When his baseball career was over, Matt spent 10 years in the banking industry gaining a lot of experience in finance, appraisals, and livestock/equipment evaluations. Matt is currently a History teacher and Softball coach at Arapaho High School
Matt Lives in Custer county and loves farming, ranching, and helping his kids show Hereford and Angus Cattle. He is married to Amanda (Shane) Oakes from Buffalo, OK, and has three children: Keller, Kylin, and Kamryn
Matt volunteers his time with his children's sports leagues, the Arapaho Fire Department, and the Dewey County Farm Bureau. Matt has also served as a state board member for the Oklahoma Young Farmers and Ranchers, current member at The Camargo Christian Church, co-founder of Crossing Home Ministries, and a director for a Ministry called Epos Performance Athletes.
Matt holds several licenses to include, State Licensed Appraiser, Basic EMT, and an Oklahoma Licensed Sales Associate
